Day 1. Arrival in Hanoi
Arrive at Hanoi airport where an English-speaking tour guide will welcome you and take you to a hotel in the center of the city.Check into the room and relax. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to an orientation tour of Hanoi by rickshaw. Discover a city of poetry and markets, a city enchantingly balanced between tradition and modernity. Day 2. Visit Hanoi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning we enjoy a city tour of Hanoi’s most famous sites including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (outside view), One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university.
In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology offering a fascinating insight into Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups. Enjoy a walking tour through the bustling Old Quarter before ending the day with a show at the water puppet theatre – a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes of rural life and episodes of national history. Free to walk to visit Hanoi old quarter. Spend the night at hotel in Hanoi.
Day3: Ha Noi- Ha Long cruise
Upon arrival in Hanoi at 5:00AM, our driver will wait and transfer to hotel near railway station for short sleep and have breakfast. 8:00AM You will meet your guide and transfer to Ha Long. Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay and board your deluxe junk for your overnight cruise. Marvel at the dramatic vista and relax onboard, as you sail amongst the thousands of limestone islands that rise from the turquoise waters of the boat. Rock sculptures jut dramatically from the sea and the numerous caves and grottoes have created an enchanting, timeless world. Set sail through Bai Tu Long Bay whilst a seafood lunch is served, then sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you cruise past various islands en route to Cua Van fishing village. Explore the floating village by bamboo rowing boat. Visit Tien Ong Cave before returning to the junk for sunset cocktails and canapés, followed by dinner served on the deck
Day 4: Ha Long cruise- Hanoi- Fly Luang Prabang
Why not begin the day with a Tai Chi class on the top deck? Or just admire the beautiful scenery as the sun rises over the azure waters. Choose between an excursion to a secluded island with a sandy beach for a morning swim, or join the chef for a cooking demonstration to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine. Enjoy a buffet brunch as your junk cruises Halong Bay, passing islets and caves as you make your way back to the do long Bay, passing islets and caves as you make your way back to the dock and back to Hanoi and direct to Hanoi airport for taking an hour-long flight to vibrant Luang Prabang, Laos, religious capital of the Kingdom of a Million Elephants.
Day 5. Visit Luang Prabang – Kouang Si
Enjoy breakfast is at the hotel. As the gradually retreating shadows give way to crisp morning light, observe the Bronze Monks’ morning meal ritual. Visit Phousi’s fresh produce market, a true mosaic of colors and aromas. Next, visit the Museum of Ethnology (open Tuesday-Sunday). Spend an eventful afternoon visiting the enchanting Tad Kouang Si Falls, 20 miles south of Luang Prabang, passing through a number of rural Hmong villages along the way. Day 6. Pak Ou – Visit Luang Prabang – Mount Phousi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a cruise down the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves.Halfway to the caves, visit Ban Xan Hai, a small village specializing in the production of rice whiskey, a hugely popular drink among the Lao people (be sure to try a Lao Lao cocktail sometime on your trip – but be careful, this local liquor is potent). Once back onboard the boat, continue to the Pak Ou Caves. The caves are among the most highly acclaimed Buddhist sites in the Luang Prabang area. Shrouded in legends and mysticism, the statues of the Buddha housed inside these cavernous shrines transport the viewer to another world. Return to Luang Prabang.
In the afternoon, visit the Xieng Thong Temple, which was built in 1560 and is the most ornate temple in the city. Also on the day’s itinerary are the temples of Wat Wham and Wat Visoun, the oldest temples in Luang Prabang. If time allows, walk to the top of Mount Phousi to observe spectacular panoramic views of the city at sunset. Spend the night at hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 7. Luang Prabang – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake
After breakfast at the hotel, head to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. After lunch, drive southeast to Kompong Khleang. Located 30 miles from Siem Riep, Kompong Khleang is a hidden, untouched floating village on the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Drive back to Siem Reap, arriving by nightfall.Spend the night at hotel in Siemreap
Day 8. Siem Reap – Angkor Temples
Begin the morning with a visit to Angkor Thom. Visit the enigmatic and famous Bayon, Baphuon, the former Royal Palace, Terrace of Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants, the temples of Ta Keo and Ta Prohm, which are almost fully engulfed by the jungle.
In the afternoon, explore the famous and magnificent Angkor Wat temple. This expansive architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century. The site has many galleries and is filled with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, ponds full of water, and carved bas-reliefs depicting the story of Ramayana and daily life at the time of Angkor’s construction.
In the late afternoon, depending on the season, watch the spectacular sunset as it lights up all the temples from a hillside with stunning views over Angkor Wat. Everning, dinner at local restaurant and enjoy a traditional Apsara dance show. Spend the night at hotel in Siemreap
Day 9. Siem Reap – Kbal Spean – Bantey Srei
Take an excursion to the Kbal Spean. Here, marvel at the numerous and well-preserved sandstone lingam sculptures that cover the banks of the river. Then, visit the splendid Temple of Banteay Srei, or “Women’s Citadel.”
In the afternoon, explore the romantic Bantey Samre Temple, Banteay Kdei and the royal bathing site of Srah Srang. Spend the night at hotel in Siemreap.
Day 10. Siem Reap – Phnom Penh
Drive to Phnom Penh. Arrive by early afternoon and check into the hotel. Explore Cambodia’s vibrant capital with visits to the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the Wat Phnom Pagoda, and the Independence Monument before heading back to the hotel to relax. Spend the night at hotel in Phnompenh.
Day 11. Phnom Penh – Chau Doc (Vietnam) by boat
Start the day with a visit to the Beaux-Arts National Museum, which houses a wealth of precious masterpieces. Then, continue stimulating the senses by wandering around the immense Central Market.
At around 12h, depart from Phnom Penh by motorized boat and head down the expansive waters of the Mekong toward Chau Doc in Vietnam. After being guided through Vietnamese customs, arrive in Chau Doc by the end of the day. Spend the night at hotel in Chaudoc
Day 12. Chau Doc – Long Xuyen – Cai Be
Drive to Long Xuyen, a thriving Mekong city. Enjoy lunch in Long Xuyen and continue to Cai Be, a small town on the banks of the river. Check into the Mekong Lodge, located at the heart of this classic Mekong Delta village surrounded by outstanding panoramas of the natural environment. At the end of the day, take a bike ride around the village. Spend the night at the lovely Mekong Lodge.
Day 13. Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, board a small boat for a relaxing Mekong cruise. Visit the floating market of Cai Be, where a huge number of boats from different parts of the delta can be seen. Disembark near Vinh Long and begin the journey to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive by evening, relaxing and spending the night in the hotel.
Day 14. Ho Chi Minh City – Departure
In the morning, tour former Saigon, the largest city in Vietnam. Visit the beautiful and renowned sites of the city, such as the old Colonial Quarter. Enjoy some free time before traveling to the airport for the return flight home.
