DAY 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL
Arrival in the Saigon airport, pick up and transfer by Asia King Travel’s guide to the city for hotel check-in. Free at leisure to make your own exploration to discover the bustling city. Overnight at the hotel in Saigon
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi Tunnels
Morning pick up from the hotel for Cu Chi Tunnels tour, en route to visit the bustling market at Thu Dao Mot. Upon arrival in Cu Chi, we visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometres hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about the Vietnam War or American War, Afternoon drive back to Ho Chi Minh. Free walk to visit Ben Thanh market. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh- Can Tho ( Mekong Delta)Today we will start our exploration of the Mekong Delta, a major rice producing area. This must be one of the most fascinating riverine deltas in the world. The Mekong splits into nine major arteries. A vast network of rivers and waterways with thousands of ships of all sizes plowing the waters gives the Mekong Delta a very special atmosphere and no doubt one of the most favorite destinations for Vietnam Tours and a smart Vietnam Tour maker would never skip. On arrival, we will make a boat trip to the Cai Be floating Market, visit villages and meet the people of the Mekong Delta. Continue your boat trip to An Binh Island for Lunch in a local family and bike trip in the afternoon. Continue to Can Tho – the heart of Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Day 4: Can Tho Floating Market- Saigon flight o Da Nang- Hoi An
In the morning, we make a the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, a rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta. Around noon, transfer to back to Saigon and direct to airport for flight Da Nang. Upon arriving in Da Nang and transfer to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An Free & Easy
Day free to cycle through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An ancient town, shop for souvenirs among the antique shops and art galleries, or just sit at sidewalk cafes and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town. Or relax on the white sandy beach of the famous China Beach. Stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An Biking, Farming and Fishing Tour
Today tour begins with a soft biking around the countryside of Hoian from your hotel with our guide . The biking takes you to Tra Que Vegetables Village, along the way you will stop and try a water buffalo riding in the middle of the rice paddy and take the photography. Arriving at Tra Que Vegetable Village, you will be welcomed by a farmer family, take the typical farmer’s clothe and dress up as a farmer. Then get to the farming land near by with farming tools to practise all the different steps that a vegetable farmer usually does. Done the farming tour and continue on our biking tour along the narrow path to Cam Thanh village, stop at Bay Mau Water Palm forest, you will take a short walk around the small fishing hamlet along the river then board a Coracle – a typical rounded bamboo boat for fishing from local fishermen and enjoy a pleasant cruise along the small canal. Back to the hotel and free at leisure. Overnight in a Hoi An hotel.
Day 7 : Hoi An – Drive to Hue
After breakfast, leave Hoi An for Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam, well-known for magnific architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in small villages and surrounding hills and one of the most popular cities for all the Vietnam Tours. En route have a look at the famous Danang Beach and visit Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Upon arrival in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City. Overnight in a Hue hotel.
Day 8 : Hue City Tour – flight to Hanoi
Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of the past emperors, and with Orient style – those tombs almost located near the bank of Hue’s river – Perfume river. We first take the Dragon boat on Perfume river and visit Thien Mu Pagoda before driving to visit King Minh Mang or King Tu Duc’s tomb. Free and easy until transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi.
Upon arrival, you are met at the Noi Bai airport and transferred to the hotel by the guide. Check-in and relax. Free to walk to visit old quarter. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi
Day 9: Hanoi- Ninh Binh- Thung Nang valley- Hanoi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Day 10: Hanoi – Train to Sapa
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Get to know the capital’s unique old world charm. Join the faithful at Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda and Uncle Ho’s home. Then wander the ancient Temple of Literature before joining locals at Hoan Kiem Lake where elderly men play chess in the park, we venture inside the Ngoc Son Temple before heading to the lively Old Quarter. Each street is dedicated to selling one type of merchandise, like silk or stainless steel. Then take a load off at a local cafe sipping authentic Vietnamese-style coffee. A cyclo ride takes you through the lively Old Quarter. In the evening, we take the overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 11 : Lao Cai – Sapa Tour
Arrive in the early morning in the border town of Lao Cai where it’s a short transfer to Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of this area, the monotony of the expansive green landscape is enlivened by the colours of its hill tribe population. It is here you will find hands stained with colour from fabric dyes and shades of blue, red and green intricately embroidered and stitched into jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps, purses and leggings.
Take a morning walking tour of Sapa for a visit to the busy market where Red Dao, Black & Flower H’Mong, Tay and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their silverware and handicrafts, and to buy provisions.
