Day 1. ARRIVAL HANOI
Arrive at Hanoi airport where an English-speaking tour guide will welcome you and take you to a hotel in the center of the city. The afternoon will be devoted to an orientation tour of Hanoi by rickshaw. Discover a city of poetry and markets, a city enchantingly balanced between tradition and modernity. Spend the night at hotel in Hanoi
Day 2. HANOI VISIT
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Begin exploring Hanoi with a walk around the exquisite grounds of the old Indochinese governor’s palace (now a presidential palace). Visit the unique One Pillar Pagoda and the stilt house of Ho Chi Minh. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi and Vietnam’s pagoda for defense. After, whet your appetite for discovering Vietnam’s unique cultures at the Museum of Ethnology.
In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature. Then in the evening, enjoy a Water Puppet Show. Stay overnight in Hanoi
Day 3. HANOI- MAI CHAU
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, drive along a mountain road to Mai Chau, a scenic region home to the Muong and Thai ethnic minorities. Make a few stops along the way to visit tea fields, Luong Son market, and ethnic villages with stilt houses. Have lunch with a Thai family.
In the afternoon, visit Ban Lac before driving 6km to Ban Cum. From here, take a 2 hour walk around different villages inhabited by the Thai at the foot of the mountains. Upon arrival in Mai Hich village located on a high mountain overlooking a lush valley of rice and vegetables, settle in a beautiful wooden house on stilts. Have dinner and spend the night with the host family. (The house is equipped with mattresses, mosquito net and a shower with hot water).
Day 4. MAI CHAU-TAM COC
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Take a 3 hour drive to Tam Coc, a new resort with gorgeous swimming pool, located in the middle of rice fields and limestone peaks. Before exploring Tam Coc Cave, visit temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel, most of which has since been destroyed, once covered an area of three square kilometers.
After lunch, board your private sampan. As the boat gently slices through the water, observe the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to this area’s other name, ‘Halong on Land’.
In the afternoon, you can choose from several activities, including climbing up to the Jade caves near the resort, relaxing beside the pool, walking or biking around the village. Stay overnight in Tam Coc.
Day 5. TAM COC- HONG PHONG- PHAT DIEM- TAM COC
After breakfast at the hotel, drive 32km to the village of Hong Phong to visit an authentic rural market. Next, join a local family for a walking tour to learn about the daily activities of the villagers. Visit the nursery and the town hall. Depending on the season, learn about agricultural work. Return to the homestay. Participate with the hosts in preparing a traditional lunch.
After lunch, drive to Phat Diem – the most beautiful stone church that was built at the end of 19th century with great combination between the architecture of catholic church and that of a traditional Vietnamese temple. Come back to Tam Coc for enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.Stay overnight in Tam Coc.
DAY 6: TAM COC- HA LONG CRUISE(OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. 08h00: Pick up from your hotel. Depart for Halong city through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. Stopover on the way for a refreshment break. Arrive at Hongai habour – next to Baitho (poem) mountain, check – in on the cruise Welcome drinks will be served. Lunch is served while cruising through the Baitulong bay to Halong bay.Visit splendid Sung Sot cave. This is one of the most beautiful grotto in Halong bay. You will feel surprise about imposing of stalagmites, stalactites and many legend stories about that. Time for kayaking around surprise cave area. You will have got around 45 minutes to explore halong bay and some tunnel by yourself. Back to the cruise, cruising to Drum cave for docking and sleeping. Passing many beautiful islets on the bay: Head man’s face islet, Saddle horse islet, Fairy lake, drum cave, Virgin cave.Time for relaxing afternoon, make the most of sunbathing on deck. Taking picture on the way…Enjoy the small party with fresh fruits and Vietnamese green tea. Dinner &Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar, dancing, karaoke; watch movie or ẹnjoy night fishing… Relax and spend a romantic night on board
DAY 7: HA LONG CRUISE- VUNG VIENG FLOATING VILLAGE- HANOI- FLIGHT TO HUE
Start your day with Taichi exercises or a photo hunt. Breakfast, coffee and tea and served while cruising ahead to Baitulong Bay. The route is really tranquil and islets really imposing. Rowing small local bamboo boat (around 1 hour) to visit Vong Vieng floating fishing village. Our guide will give you some information and interesting facts about this fascinating village and its local community. Back to boat. Take time to refresh and relax before checking out. Keep sailing back to the Habour through the waters and passing many beautiful islets and island on the Baitulong Bay. Vietnamese Cooking Class & an early lunch is served. Arrive at the pier return from Halong to Hanoi. and begin the journey back to the airport in Hanoi. Take an evening flight to Hue (about 1 hour long). A local guide will greet you at the airport and show you to the hotel. Stay overnight in Hanoi
DAY 8: HUE SIGHT SEEING
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Discover Hue city, beginning with a morning visit to the Imperial City of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945). Delve into the history and beauty of this revered World Heritage destination by touring The Flag Tower, the South Door, the Edict Pavilion, the Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City.
After visiting the Imperial City, take an hour-long cruise on the romantic Perfume River, a place of inspiration for numerous Vietnamese writers, musicians and artists. Disembark onto the bank to visit the Celestial Lady Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist monument before returning to the city for lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring the Tu Duc Royal Tomb, built amid frangipani and pine trees, designed by the emperor himself. On the way back into town, make a short visit to a village specialising in the production of incense sticks which are to be used for spirit worship. According to Buddhist belief, incense establishes communication between the living world and the afterlife. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 9. HUE – HOI AN
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to Hoi An, the only medieval city in Vietnam that’s still intact. Hoi An is an invaluable cultural and historical heritage site.
Journey over the infamous Hải Vân, or “Ocean Cloud,” Pass for a panoramic view of the Central Vietnamese coastline along the South China Sea. Stop midway in Da Nang City (colonial Tourane) to visit the Cham museum. Discover the romantic streets of Hoi An in all its medieval splendor on a night tour of the city. Marvel at the historical Fujian Sanctuary, the well-built Japanese Bridge, the mysterious Tan Ly House .Little wonder this jewel of a city has become a must-see for seekers of cultural and historical heritage. Day 10. HOI AN- MY SON- HOI AN
In the morning, drive to the archaeological site of My Son (64km – 1 hour road trip), once the political and spiritual capital of the Champa kingdom. Next, travel by boat to visit the village of Kim Bong, which specializes in cabinet making.
Mid-afternoon, head back to Hoi An to continue exploring the city at your leisure or to relax at the hotel. Stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day 11. HOI AN- DA NANG- CAI BE
After breakfast, depart for Da Nang airport to fly to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). After arriving in Ho Chi Minh city, take a 2 hour journey to Cai Be, a charming city on the banks of the Mekong River.
Check in at the Mekong Lodge in the heart of Cai Be, a quintessential Mekong Delta village. Take a bike ride around the village, a cooking class to learn how to prepare local specialties, or participate in a fruit and vegetable carving class. Spend the night at the lodge.
Day 12. CAI BE- TRA ON
After breakfast, board the Le Cochinchine boat for a delightful Mekong cruise. Enjoy the sound of the busting floating market amid the aquatic land’s beautiful landscape. Enjoy lunch on board.
Arrive at Cho Lach, a lovely town in Ben Tre province which is known as the land of coconuts. Disembark and take a bike ride around Cho Lach village, tasting tropical fruits from the orchards. Re-embark and journey to Tra On, appreciating the stunning sunset over the Mekong River. Enjoy dinner and spend the night on board.
Day 13. TRA ON – CAN THO- HO CHI MINH
In the morning, wake up with the floating market’s lively sound. Enjoy breakfast on board while cruising toward Can Tho on the Bassac River. Upon arrival, re-embark to visit Cai Rang floating market, the most bustling and largest one in the Mekong Delta. Disembark around 10 a.m. at the Ninh Kieu wharf and begin the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving mid-afternoon. Spend the night at hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 14. HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE
In the morning, tour former Saigon, the largest city in Vietnam. Visit the beautiful and renowned sites of the city. Enjoy some free time to make last minute purchases before traveling to the airport for your return flight home.
